memories...

So today I was wondering around on the computer and look what found! Handbalancing 2010, gosh I miss it. And not just handbalancing. I miss my crazy weird friends, the stress of cuts, the relief of making it, the costume fittings, the dress rehearsals, just everything... Argh Paige don't make yourself sad!! Thankfully I just have to endure five months and I can finally be back where I belong. In the circus.

Its funny when people call you a "circus freak" and think you're going to get enraged and start talking how its an 'art' or something. To any true performer, it's not demeaning at all, in fact, I really miss people calling me that. Circus Freak is much better than the names associated with cheerleading.

I'm still not sure what acts I want to do next year. I know I wont have time for more than two, but im fine with that. Lear (suspended hoop used like a trapeze) is SO beautiful, and just too much fun to play on. Duotrapeeze (two girls on one trapeze) is also really cool! I'll probably do lear knowing myself, but thats not a bad thing :)

People that have seen the circus in previous years know that their is always a theme for all of the acts to go off of. This years theme is "Lands of Enchantment" whatever that means... So theme wise, it wasn't a bad year to miss. I am ,though, curious to know what the trainers did to represent that theme, so I cant wait to go and watch. It's always the first three weekends of May, so mark your calendars!

Well, guess what i did yesterday. Yeah I napped. Amazing. But then the phone rang, and what else but...circus. Yeah its rehersal time, and um yeah...crazy. I could go on for hours about how excited and nervous i am but that would be a waist of time and to be frank im in class right now so... i should probably get back to my work, or not ;].

Circus!!!!!

Hey guys!

I just got back from summer circus and we got the requirments for the classes in September here are the ones i want to get into:

Intermediate Handbalancing

Lear

Duo Perch

And German Gym Wheel

It would be like 9 hours a week but I do have the requirements for all of the classes...

Ok I am so going CRAZY without circus!!!! I wore the jacket today and I miss it so much!! But there is ONE DAY OF SCHOOL LEFT

I know I can handle that :D

Last Show!!!!!!

After about a month of performing for the Great Y circus this year, it gets kinda tiring and a little annoying. On Friday I didn't want to go whatsoever but I did. Last night my family came and I was fun. Only just now realized today is the last show of 2009. It is a sad day.

In a way that's how circus is so super sad. All other sports like dance and soccer and gymnastics you get to do what you do alot, whether its competitions or tournaments or recitals.But circus isn't like that, and its kinda a bummer.

But eventually all good things come to an end.....and the end for this year is today....

Weekend 2!!

Wow!
Another exciting weekend of the circus. Some of the events included

• Tori's last show
• A girl falling of the trapeze
• watching the show with my friends
• getting a needle stuck in my thumb
• Nanae's Birthday party
• A new I-pod touch (yay)
• brand new belts for rings
• and other things.....my minds just blanking right now

Last night!

Wow,

Last nights show was amazing. The  show started of with some technical difficulties. They introduced the show and the wrong music started plaing, it took something like 5 minuites to get the right music. Our contortion transition was cut short again (darn) but my rings routine was the best I think I have ever had. Tonights show will be better though. All and all I had a Great time

CIRCUS TONIGHT

OMG!!!!!!!!!!
The first circus show is tonight...... for realzies.I am like so excited I cant even contain myself. So we have the most awesome contortion shirts (they are red and have contortion in cirsive and over lapping is Torture) and I dont mind the rings costume. I mabey will get a streah in my hair today, mabey.....
Anyway I am so exicited gotta go!!

Here in computer....

Today at this moment I am inside the Computer Lab at my school.........It is quite the boring experience. But I am excited because for the first Tuesday since spring break I have no circus tonight

You would think that I would enjoy it but I am kind of dissapointed. I dont know what to do with my time other than alot of math homework.....

OMG! Rehearsals week three!

   Wow, I cant believe it. The circus is next weekend! Thats right, next weekend. I am so deliriously happy and excited and and and and and and did I say OMG I am so happy I might just jump up and down excited! Anyway the contortion routine was a snap, and the multiple routine is easier than i thought. I cant say the same for rings though, (my trainer changed the routine at the last minute.....) but its coming together somewhat smoothly. I am less than happy about the act order for rings and multiple but what can you do. 

   This somewhat piggish picture of me eating cotton candy was taken by my friend Dominique. It was free at rehearsals (Woo Hoo) and I got like the biggest one. People were pulling all of this cotton candy off of my paper coney thing, it was super funny but i think you just had to be there. Anyway more circus news is coming so stay tuned

Hey guys just wanted to give you an update on the circus....

• learned rings routine completely
• know music for multiple... but not counts
• Rug-thrus already started
• cucas and the olive market are serving this year
• starting to organize group circus trip with friends
• pre-order tickets are on sale now

Circus Dillema

So, I have some problems with circus... Here the are.

1. We have the music for rings but our trainer hasn't let us listen to it
2. We have 4 more practices until rehearsals and rehersals
   
3. The only routine I have the complete, finished routine for is contortion, but we dont have the transitions between the tricks
4. In multiple, we are on the stagger, and we have 3 spots to fill .That is a picture of a stagger above (their is room for 6 total)
5. Multiple doesn't even have music yet
6. We get 1 week off for spring break, and then its rehersals...

I am sooo nervous!
I also have included a picture of muitiple so you can understand what im talking bout (BTW we are wearing those sostumes for rings)

Contortion

Whell, I thought I'd take the liberty of either amazing you or making you grossed out, so here is a little preview of this years contortion routine (buy the way that's me in the pictures, believe it or not). But to see the whole routine in action, you have to come to the Great All American Youth circus.

Circus, Circus!

If you some what know me, you know i partake in one of the coolest after school activities ever, the circus !

Here are some things you need to know about this years circus shows:

• The theme is seasons of circus
• I am in Three acts this year (Multiple trapeze, swinging rings, and contortion.)
  The opening act this year is Chinese pole (kinda weird but OK)
• The show only has 20 acts (sounds like a lot but its way smaller than last year)
• Hopefully the show is shorter than last year (last years total time was like 3 hours)
• I am very, very excited!!!!!!!
