Its 11:00, you feel sick, you had a weird night, how can you make yourself feel any better? Its simple really. Go outside and look up at the stars. This should calm you down a little. After staring for a while, you start wishing your room was this peaceful. You will soon realize that it can be this peaceful, all you have to do is move it. Proceed to make worlds most comfortable sleeping bag bed. Fall asleep looking at the stars. Now doesn't that sound amazing? It really is, in case you were wondering.

I wasn't going to put this picture up, but I just had to show you how creepy my dad can be sometimes. I woke up after he took this because I heard the shudder in the camera. My vision was still sort of foggy from all the chlorine still in them from water polo. I looked back and thought my dad was the police taking a picture of me for evidence or something. So, I can honestly say for that one second this morning I thought I was dead. Only in the Hoel Household would this happen. What a great way to start a Tuesday!

Heres a problem. My mom decided to leave the house today when I was on a bike ride with Olive. And lock the door. Ten minutes later I climb into the house. All is well untill I try and make a smoothie. THERE IS NO MILK. I am home alone. All the food we have is diet soup and some Honey Bunches of Oats. Be they may delicious, you really cant eat them dry.

Home alone, no milk, no cereal.

No, not talking to god. I'm talking about Justin Beiber's song.

Now I'm not expecting a lot of people to have seen the music video for it, but if you have, you know that its quite a piece of work. Simply a four minute compilation of the Beibs talking to people in hospitals, little kids with cancer dancing, and poor people. I have nothing wrong with community service, in fact, I strongly encourage it. My problem with "Pray" is that its hardly a music video. It seems like artists these days don't appreciate the cherished history of the MV (see what I did there).

These videos used to define the artist back in the day. When MTV premiered, it was simply music videos and music news, just that. Artists made funny and entertaining videos that defined there sound and style. Some personal favorites:

Safety Dance- Men with Hats
Whip it- Devo
California Love- Tupac feat Dr.Dre
Pop Musik- M
Girls on Film- Duran Duran
Rock the Casbah- The Clash

Now don't get me wrong, there are still good music videos today, they just seem to be dying breed, and that makes me really sad.

Artists such as Lady GaGa think that making there videos edgy and expensive will instantly make them a hit, and sadly it often does. I say forget about spending tons of money! You can make a great video with some people, a camera, and a boom-box (those should really be brought back b t dubs). Most importantly, try to capture the essence of the artist and song in the video. Ex. Single Ladies. We all loved to see Beyonce do her single thing! Catchy song + catchy dance= awesome video!!

Oh, and please don't put dialogue in the video. If its that complex, make a movie. Ex. Kanye West

So today I was wondering around on the computer and look what found! Handbalancing 2010, gosh I miss it. And not just handbalancing. I miss my crazy weird friends, the stress of cuts, the relief of making it, the costume fittings, the dress rehearsals, just everything... Argh Paige don't make yourself sad!! Thankfully I just have to endure five months and I can finally be back where I belong. In the circus.

Its funny when people call you a "circus freak" and think you're going to get enraged and start talking how its an 'art' or something. To any true performer, it's not demeaning at all, in fact, I really miss people calling me that. Circus Freak is much better than the names associated with cheerleading.

I'm still not sure what acts I want to do next year. I know I wont have time for more than two, but im fine with that. Lear (suspended hoop used like a trapeze) is SO beautiful, and just too much fun to play on. Duotrapeeze (two girls on one trapeze) is also really cool! I'll probably do lear knowing myself, but thats not a bad thing :)

People that have seen the circus in previous years know that their is always a theme for all of the acts to go off of. This years theme is "Lands of Enchantment" whatever that means... So theme wise, it wasn't a bad year to miss. I am ,though, curious to know what the trainers did to represent that theme, so I cant wait to go and watch. It's always the first three weekends of May, so mark your calendars!

As you probably know, I am a cheerleader. If you dont, I might not know you. If I dont know you, its pretty weird that your reading this.

Anywhoo, this weekend is the biggest competition of the year. We train for months and have to qualify at regional competitions to make it to nationals. Our JV squad is so strong this year. like really, total beasts. The goal of our routine is to perform as well as possible, and if we are in the top 25% we are moved onto finals.

So on Friday we walked from the hotel to the arena to watch song compete. This was at 11:00. We then had to wait six hours till we were up on the mat. I can whole-heartedly say these were the longest six hours in my life. Around four we had time to run over our routine and practice on the mats. All of our stunts hit and we were all reasonably confident. We then had to wait backstage for our team to be called. To make the performers less nervous they had a wall that you could kiss and your lipstick would leave a mark. It was the coolest thing ever! I wish I had had my camera. The sophomores gave us a pep talk and we prayed for a good routine.

When we were called we rallied out onto the mat. I thought the lights in circus were bright, hah, those are like led's compared to these things. The cheer started and we immediately saw not only our varsity, but REV's JV tea cheering us on too! It was astonishing how much comfort it brought to have people you know sitting on the mat in front of you. As a cheerleader, you are instructed to look directly at the judges. It feels so silly because you're making the weirdest faces staring at one person you dont even know.

All of my stunts ,besides a small wobble in my split stunt, hit perfectly!! It was just so fun to get over with and just have fun in front of the judges. When we finished, we were all really satisfied. We knew it wasn't the best routine we've done, but it was really good. After we had to wait for varsity who had an absolutely flawless routine, simply perfect. Awards were at nine o'clock. We crowded onto the mat with all the other teams and waited for our results. They called our division from eighth to first. The other squads that placed higher weren't called. Holding hands, we anxiously awaited our results as they got closer and cl0ser to too first. They passed fourth, and a lot of the girls gave up hope. Then, they called REDLANDS!!! I do not think I have seen so many girls spontaneously cry (I'm not going to lie, i shed a tear or two myself) . Finals is such a great achievement, and I am so proud of all of us.

Tomorrow we go back to compete one last time and hopefully take the first place spot :)

This spring break has been sublime! I cant wait for tomorrow and school!!

Hey guys!

So as most of you may know, I am going to Hawaii in like 2 days and........Ive said it a million times but I am excited. Today I packed for the trip, my huge suitcase is packed to the point of exploding, and I fit everything that I wanted to in it so, all is well that ends well. One more thing that I am happy about is getting a limo ride to the airport (we do it when the return home is a red eye). I have a really nice outfit picked out for the flight, a vintage Ralph Lauren white sundress and a sweater. Its really hard to picture, but I will send you a picture as soon as i can.

Four Days!!!

Hey Guys!

It has come to my attention that I am leaving for Hawaii in four short days!!!!! I am sooooo super excited and I am bouncing of the walls!!!!! And I just checked the forecast and wow, the weather will be perfect.

The days will start of with rain or a gentle drizzle, and proceed to clear up and get to a sunny, comfy high of 84 degrees. The night will chill down to around 74. If that isnt perfect weather, what is?

On another note I had alot of fun today. To recap I will use bullets, because they are awesome!

Woke up
went into mom and dads room and slept in their bed
woke up again and made a hot choclate and put it in the fridge
watched a wedding in the today show (it was really pretty)
did my hair
walked downtown with grant and saw *drum roll please* a Lamborghini Mercilago :D!!(which for the record, is the second hottest car in the world. The first is the Audi r8)
Grant got a hair cut while I spent 45 minutes at sav-on looking at makeup
walked to the movies and saw the Proposal a second time, this time with Grant
Walked to the State Street Deli and got the best sandwich ever (chicken breast with provolone, pineapple, and Teraki sauce)
came home and passed out on the couch (tired)
made a frapichino by myself
watched tv
ate a salad
watched wipeout, and I survived a Japanese game show
and now, here I am

Big Decision!!!!!!!

This year in computer we had alot of free time (this is a long story so just hold on). All of this free time on the internet got to be suprisingly boring (Carley, you know what I mean). I got to thinking about summer and my free time, and vacation. My summer all of a sudden sounded really buisy! The last three weeks before school I am at camp on vacation, so I had a new problem. How am I going to get stuff for school? With this delima, I decided to save time by looking at backpacks online, so we wouldnt have to stay an hour at sport chalet making the decision. I found a backpack that was WAY cool, just WAY over priced. It was the style of those superbreak backpacks from JanSport, which are around $30 each. This ever so extrodinary backpack was twice that, and the same size. But I couninued to worship it from afar, hoping Zappos would consider putting it on sale. But I really wanted it, so I googled the backpacks name and I almost died. Tillies had it for HALF PRICE!!!! i freaked. I emailed the link to dad claiming it would be the best backpack ever and now FedEx is shipping it to me!! I love my life!!!

O, and I hope Olive and Caroline had fun at the Grand Canyon!! :)

So some of you may know that I went to soak city yesterday. It was a blast, but there are downsides to frolicking in the sun in a desert that 105 degerees. I really got chared. I am siting here covered in aloe jell and hoping that my shoulders will natrually heel themselves out of the blue.....man they hurt.

Hey Guys!

This afternoon my cousin and I went to a beeding class at the rolling stone (a bead store downtown). We had a total blast and made some really cool stuff. I really wish I had pictures at the moment but I dont so youll just have to wait. To describe them, my earings and braclet are blue, pink, and white and they arent identical but the match just the same. Savanah's are pink and floral and chuncky (they are so cute). I would advise this class to anyone and I think it is like $20.00.

On another note I am going to yoga tomorow with my friends and yoga itself is fun but being with my friends will be a whole nother level of awesome. I am very excited, and thank you Olive for inviting me!

I still cant belive school is over, it is really bittersweet. I cried when the bell rang (saddness) and I really couldnt get a grip but I cant do anything now.. its over, done, finished, and its quiet a momentus occasion. I am hainging out with my cousins today, and we went to the olive market. it is fun but I wish more than anything that I could be with Caroline, Breyer , olive, carley, and alex. I hope they are having a great time without me.
For a weather update it is STILL dark and gloomy, it really dosent feel like june at all. But oh whell, i now it will eventually get hot again and I wil be wishing for cold weather, but untill then I dont like it. And I will stay up to date with my blog, even though school is out.

About three weeks ago our pool was drained and sand blasted. About four days later the pool was painted a new darker blue and you probably can figure out the rest of the story... Anyway these are some older pictures of when we filled the pool. I hope you like them!

My new and Improved closet :)

So over the weekend I wanted to organize my closet.....but saddly I didn't have the time on Saturday. When we got home, however, I amped up and started to reorganize!! :) It took me a while but we did it!

I really want to thank my mom for helping me out (she did a lot of the work) and for finding stray wicker baskets around the house. I love you and thanks again!!!

This weekend my whole family went up to San Diego to visit my cousins. I personaly thought it was going to be lame ,but I suprisingly had alot of fun! we went to the beach but we got kicked of because we had a dog... oh whell. :P

I am officially over finals for the day and i am happy! My main event today is my fiesta!! I am so excited and I cant wait until school is over. The only problem is that it is sposed to rain and its a pool party so i really dont know what we will do the entire time. Here we meet,

OMG!

We are sooooo close to the end of the year!!! I can almost smell it!

In the mean time the weather here is wacked. I mean their is thunder and rain and I wore shorts today so i don't know what to expect. The weather for June is supposed to be like 100 degres every day and on the day of my pool party it is gonna be in the low 70's. Right now I am in computer and I am sitting next to Carley and she was the smart one today ( she wore jeans and a jacket).

On another note I am searching for a song to do a contortion routine to over the summer, I think I have a good song but I wouldnt mind getting suggestions from other people, so please comment!

soak city!!!

OMG!
Soak City was soooo much fun. I went with the whole group but mostly hung out with Kendall. We had a blast and went all of the rides at least twice. The park also was empty so our school were the only ones there.We went on pacific plunge at least 10 times. My feet got blisters and i think i totally trashed my rainbows but i will survive I did get a little sunburn as did everyone who went but all in all it was one of the funnest days i have had in a long time.

OMG Soak City!!!!!

So as all of my friends should know, all of the members of Cope's CJSF was invited on a rewards trip to Knotts Soak City in Palm Springs and I am so excited! All of my friends are going, (except Alex....sorry) And i cant wait. I also get to go to Leroy's and get some new sunglasses. I also get to try out my new bathing suit! All and all i know it will be a super fun day and i cant wait to tell you all about it.

Another great year of circus is over.... and now my summer begins. I am really excited and sad, but I am really hoping that my friends and I could get together and do something this Friday because for the first time in like a month I am free, Yay!

After about a month of performing for the Great Y circus this year, it gets kinda tiring and a little annoying. On Friday I didn't want to go whatsoever but I did. Last night my family came and I was fun. Only just now realized today is the last show of 2009. It is a sad day.

In a way that's how circus is so super sad. All other sports like dance and soccer and gymnastics you get to do what you do alot, whether its competitions or tournaments or recitals.But circus isn't like that, and its kinda a bummer.

But eventually all good things come to an end.....and the end for this year is today....

I know that the title of this blog post is like weird but I don't know how to describe it.... All of my friends including Caroline have a blog now... its so cool! So here's a shout out to all of my friends in blog land world
As of this moment it is Monday and we are stuck in computer cause we are testing and the periods are like 77 minutes (darn)
The last two nights of circus were good and I had a lot of fun.I got to go over to Caroline's house to "study" for state tests. It was a lot of fun but due to circus i had to leave early

I was also really bored in computer so I decided to look at backpacks online and found a really cool pink one. The tragedy is that the picture was way to small and i decided to look for a bigger better picture and stumbled upon this one... which is cooler than the pink one.

Wow,

Last nights show was amazing. The show started of with some technical difficulties. They introduced the show and the wrong music started plaing, it took something like 5 minuites to get the right music. Our contortion transition was cut short again (darn) but my rings routine was the best I think I have ever had. Tonights show will be better though. All and all I had a Great time

The first circus show is tonight...... for realzies.I am like so excited I cant even contain myself. So we have the most awesome contortion shirts (they are red and have contortion in cirsive and over lapping is Torture) and I dont mind the rings costume. I mabey will get a streah in my hair today, mabey.....
